|Mike Taylor’s professional career has spanned decades and now he is creating hollow cast resin figurative sculptures - classical forms in a contemporary medium.
When asked about his current work, he describes, 'I am always trying to pull together the different strands of my studio practice. My instinct as a sculptor is to make the technically complex, simple in form and idea. The two forces at work in the studio are my belief in the potency of figurative sculpture and affection for modern materials. My aim is for the resin to express what a sketch does, with remnant fingerprints and smudges like my life drawings.’ Website: www.miketaylorsculpture.com, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
